Adamjee Cantonment College Admission 2026-27: Seats, Minimum GPA and Dates

For 2026-27, Adamjee Cantonment College received more applications than any other college in Bangladesh — 28,579 against 2,379 seats. Dainik Shiksha published the count on 20 September, after the migration result.

We found neither this year's group-wise seats nor its minimum GPAs in a verifiable source. The GPA table below is therefore 2025-26's, and the seat total sits only in the facts row — carving it into Science, Business and Humanities with no breakdown from the college would mean inventing numbers.

Twelve applications a seat — how to read that

Divide 28,579 by 2,379 and you get roughly twelve. That is not a one-in-twelve chance, though. Each central applicant lists five to ten colleges, and many of those who put Adamjee on the list do so as a reach rather than as a safe option.

The figure that actually matters is last cycle's minimum — 5.00 in Science. Competition for Adamjee's Science places therefore happens among GPA-5 holders, where total marks and the subject-by-subject tie-break have the final say.

Adamjee beside Dhaka's other oversubscribed colleges

Set the four Dhaka colleges from that list side by side and the picture sharpens. Adamjee leads on raw applications, yet on pressure per seat BAF Shaheen edges past it, at about 13 against Adamjee's 12; RAJUK Uttara runs near 10, and Dhaka City College, with its far larger intake, under 7.

The practical lesson for phase 2 is that a vacancy is likelier at a large-intake college than at Adamjee. These ratios pool every group, so the Science picture may well be harsher.
