The moment the SSC result arrives, the biggest decision arrives with it — which college. Class XI admission runs entirely online through one central system, and there is no entrance test in it: selection is made on your SSC result and the order of the colleges you list.

Questions about Class XI admission come in three kinds, and the answers live in three places. First, the process — when to apply, how, and what you need. Second, colleges in general — where to study, and which ones your GPA reaches. Third, one particular college — how many seats it has and whether it sets an entrance test.

One thing worth saying up front: dates and figures appear on this site only where there is a source for them. Where no official announcement has been made yet, the page says so rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Phase 1 is over and classes have begun. For anyone not yet enrolled, phase 2 is opening, with its result due 1 October 2026, 8:00 PM; an applicant who was selected nowhere in phase 1 applies free. Who is eligible and how to rework the list are covered in detail on the phase-2 page.

Class XI admission 2026-27 — every phase and its date

About 995,230 students applied in phase 1; 980,815 were placed on the merit list and 14,415 got no college at all — 2,205 of them with a GPA of 5. After migration 853,441 were finally selected against 2,601,779 seats, so the students left out were short of a well-built choice list, not of seats.

If you got no college in phase 1, or did not confirm, phase 2 is your chance: applications run from 27 September 2026 (Sunday) to 28 September 2026, 8:00 PM. A phase-1 applicant who was not selected anywhere applies free this time.
