Class XI Admission 2nd Phase 2026 (2026-27) — Dates, Who Can Apply and How

Phase 2 of Class XI admission for the 2026-27 session opens on 27 September 2026 (Sunday) and closes on 28 September 2026, 8:00 PM — a two-day window. The result follows on 1 October 2026, 8:00 PM, and admission at the college runs 5–7 October 2026. You apply on xiclassadmission.gov.bd, exactly as in phase 1.

Missing out in phase 1 does not mean the seats ran out. The country has 2,601,779 of them, and after migration only 853,441 students were finally selected — about a third of capacity. Most of the 14,415 applicants who got nothing lost on the shape of their choice list, not for want of a seat. Phase 2 is the chance to fix that list.

Phase-2 schedule, 2026-27

The 2026-27 admission policy was published on 24 August 2026, but the board can still revise dates or figures in a later notice. Check the latest notice on xiclassadmission.gov.bd before you apply. The information on this page was last verified on 26 September 2026.

Who can apply in phase 2

The board’s notice opens this phase to four groups of student. Work out which one you belong to first, because both the fee and the strategy depend on it.

• Students who did not apply in phase 1
• Applicants who were not selected for any college
• Students who were selected but did not confirm or complete admission
• Applicants blocked by a wrongly claimed quota

A student who confirmed and completed admission in phase 1 is not on this list — that seat stands, and a fresh application is not open to them.

Who pays the fee and who does not

If you are selected, confirmation carries the board’s separate BDT 340, just as it did in phase 1. Pay only from inside the portal through mobile banking; money sent to a number on your own never attaches to the application.

What happens to a phase-1 selection

The merit list placed 980,815 students, but 853,441 remained on the final list after migration. The gap is largely students who never confirmed: their selections lapsed, and those seats are back on offer in phase 2.

A student whose selection lapsed does not get that college back automatically. You may list it again, but it needs an empty seat and a high enough rank; the earlier selection carries no priority.

• Seats released by students who were selected and did not confirm.
• Seats of students who confirmed but never completed admission at the college.
• Unclaimed quota seats, which return to the merit pool.
• Seats left behind by students who migrated up to another college.

That last source is why well-known colleges can reopen a few seats in this round — though nobody knows in advance how many, or where.

Rebuilding the choice list from what phase 1 showed

The figures point one way. Of the 14,415 applicants placed nowhere, 2,205 held a GPA of 5 — a strong result is not enough when every college on the list is among the most demanded. Meanwhile 557 institutions enrolled no students at all.

So the same list submitted again will produce the same outcome, and the colleges that filled in phase 1 will have few empty seats this time. Build the new list in three tiers: two or three reaches at the top where the chance is slim but real, several in the middle where your result sits near last year’s intake, and at least three at the bottom where admission is close to certain.

You may list from 5 to 10 choices. Use every slot: an extra choice costs nothing, and an empty one is simply a safe option you gave up.

Applying for phase 2 on xiclassadmission.gov.bd, step by step

1. Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd and enter your SSC roll, board and passing year. If you applied in phase 1, your earlier details will appear.
2. Check your personal details and mobile number on the form; the result and confirmation messages go to that number.
3. Claim a quota only if you hold the certificate. A wrongly claimed quota is exactly what blocked many phase-1 results.
4. Enter colleges, shift, version and group from your new three-tier list in order of preference, then read the whole list through once more.
5. If a fee applies, pay from inside the portal through mobile banking; a free applicant will not see this step.
6. Download a copy of the submitted application, and finish on the first day rather than waiting for the last.

After the result, confirmation runs 1–3 October 2026, until 8:00 PM. A selection left unconfirmed lapses in this phase too — and no later round has been announced.
