KUET Admission 2026-27: Its Own Test on 8 January 2027

KUET’s undergraduate admission test for 2026-27 is on 8 January 2027. With the combined test alongside CUET and RUET gone, this is KUET testing on its own again — and first of the three engineering universities.
Beyond the date almost nothing is out yet — eligibility, seats, fee, the mark split, the centres. KUET now sets all of these itself, so assuming the old combined-test rules is not safe. Below: what is firm, and how to prepare until the circular lands.

What KUET now decides for itself
Under the combined test the three universities shared one framework. Now KUET’s own circular will set the minimum GPA and subject-grade conditions, whether there is a preliminary shortlist, whether the paper is MCQ or written, and how many seats each department has. Neighbouring RUET has already said it is going fully MCQ; whether KUET follows cannot be said yet.
The weeks before the circular
- Finish the core chapters of maths, physics and chemistry — whatever the format, these three will be there.
- Keep practising both written and MCQ work so either decision finds you ready.
- If you sit Khulna University’s unit A on 18 December, treat it as a rehearsal for KUET.
- After 8 January come RUET (14 January) and CUET (23 January) — write down your mistakes after each test so they do not follow you.
One trip to Khulna, or two?
Khulna University tests on 17–18 December and KUET on 8 January — three weeks apart, so most candidates will make two trips to Khulna. And for anyone looking beyond KUET toward sea-related engineering, Bangladesh Maritime University’s naval architecture programme had 40 seats in 2025-26 — a small but specialised alternative.
