RUET Admission 2026-27: 14 January, Fully MCQ

RUET’s admission test for 2026-27 is on 14 January 2027, and it will be entirely multiple choice. There are two centres — the RUET campus in Rajshahi and BUET in Dhaka — so candidates in and around Dhaka need not travel to Rajshahi.
Eligibility, the application fee and other details will follow. Of the three universities that left the combined test, RUET has said the most so far — both the paper format and the centres are known.

All-MCQ — how that changes preparation
In a written paper a correct step could still earn partial credit; in an MCQ an answer is simply right or wrong. What counts here is speed and accuracy — the habit of spotting the correct option quickly rather than writing out long solutions.
RUET has not yet said whether wrong answers lose marks. If they do, guessing becomes risky; mark your practice tests with a penalty so you are ready under either rule.
Dhaka or Rajshahi — choosing a centre
The BUET centre in Dhaka will cut travel for candidates from the south and east. But Rajshahi University’s science unit is proposed for 9 January — if you go to Rajshahi for that, staying five days and sitting RUET on campus on the 14th may be the easier plan. Check the circular for whether you choose a centre at application.
Three engineering tests in three weeks
- 8 January — KUET, in Khulna.
- 14 January — RUET, in Rajshahi or Dhaka.
- 23 January (tentative) — CUET, in Chattogram.
Use the six days after KUET to drill MCQ speed for RUET, whatever format KUET’s paper takes.
