Dhaka Central University’s Business Studies unit is its smallest — 1,997 seats across four subjects in 2025-26: Management, Accounting, Marketing, and Finance & Banking. The first cycle’s test ran on 17 July 2026 from 3 to 4 PM, the same day as the science unit. Nothing for 2026-27 has been announced.
Of 11,244 applicants, 9,716 sat and 3,208 passed — about two-thirds failed. Passes came to only about 1.6 times the seat count, so on paper there was a place for more than half of those who passed.

The paper layout (unverified)
This split appears only on DCU’s website; we could not confirm it in any newspaper. The pass rule is confirmed by Prothom Alo: 40 overall and at least 5 in the part tied to the subject you want. Anyone aiming for the accounting department cannot afford a weak accounting section.

Last cycle’s outcome
Present and absent together make 10,542, about seven hundred short of the applicant count, and the report does not say why. The pass rate beat the science unit’s, yet two in three candidates still missed 40.

- Choose between finance and marketing by whichever you scored higher in at HSC.
