JnU C Unit Admission 2026-27: Business Studies Test on 22 January

JnU’s C unit, for the Faculty of Business Studies, sits its 2026-27 test on 22 January 2027, 10 to 11 AM. The floor is a combined SSC + HSC GPA of 6.5 with 3.0 in each — the same as last year’s 6.50 and 3.00, so this is the one unit whose bar did not drop.

By competition the C unit is one of JnU’s more open doors: 18,430 applied for 520 seats in 2025-26, about 35 per place against more than 80 in the A and B units. The seats sit in just four departments, each with a large intake.

The three parts of the paper

Those three parts made up the C unit MCQ in 2025-26. Our sources do not break the marks down by part; the overall frame matched the rest of JnU — 72 marks from 96 questions and 28 from GPA. The Business faculty dean said at the time there was no negative marking, though a BSS report mentioned 0.25 off per error.

• English — grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.
• Mathematical reasoning — quick arithmetic such as percentages, ratios and profit and loss.
• Accounting or management — from the HSC syllabus.

Four departments, 520 seats

The department figures come from an admission aggregator; they sum to 520, which matches The Daily Campus’s unit total. Because AIS and Management take 160 each, a mid-table rank still has a realistic shot at one of them.

How to approach the C unit

The C unit comes about four weeks after DU’s business test on 26 December, so that preparation carries straight over. The mathematical-reasoning part, though, is JnU’s own — do at least twenty timed arithmetic items a day. If the circular lets you choose between accounting and management, pick the one you scored higher in at HSC.
