Chittagong University Admission 2026-27: Seven Unit Tests from 29 January to 8 February

Chittagong University (CU) will run its 2026-27 admission tests in seven units between 29 January and 8 February 2027 — unit C first, D1 last. Online applications run from 15 November to 10 December 2026.

An application window of nearly four weeks is among the longest of the major universities, and the tests come late in the season — after RU, JU, KUET, RUET, CUET and SUST. That leaves two or three extra weeks to prepare specifically for CU.

Reading the seven-unit calendar

The schedule shows four main letters — A, B, C, D — alongside B1, B2 and D1, which by their names look like sub-units. The report we checked does not say which faculty or stream sits in which unit, so we do not guess it here. When the circular arrives, find the unit for your stream and plan around that one date.

There is a three-day gap from 31 January to 2 February, and 7 February is empty. If you apply to more than one unit those gaps are revision days — but coming from outside Chattogram, budget for a stay of a week or ten days.

Using the long application window

1. Check the eligibility terms against your HSC result as soon as it is out — applications stay open until 10 December.
2. Decide your units first; each unit carries its own fee, so do not add applications you will not use.
3. Note the admit-card download date from the circular in your calendar.

CUET and the maritime option in the same region

CUET’s tentative test is on 23 January and CU’s unit C on 29 January — a science candidate can cover both in one trip to Chattogram. SUST tests on 26–27 January in Sylhet. If oceanography or naval architecture appeals, look at Bangladesh Maritime University’s 2026-27 page too — its permanent campus is also planned for Chattogram.
