Rajshahi University Admission 2026-27: Applications from 12 November, Tests from 8 January

Under Rajshahi University’s (RU) proposed schedule for 2026-27, online applications run from 12 to 27 November 2026. The tests take three days: the commerce B unit on 8 January, the science C unit on 9 January, and the humanities A unit on 16 January 2027.

The biggest help for candidates: the tests run in seven cities, not just Rajshahi — Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rangpur. The 16 August report, though, calls this a proposal; approval and the formal circular could still change the dates.

Three units, one per stream

RU’s unit layout is simple — one per stream. The terms for crossing streams, and which subjects a candidate from another stream can reach, are set out separately in each year’s circular; read them before you apply.

Seven cities of centres — what that changes

With Rajshahi as the only centre, a candidate from outside the north would pay in a long journey, a night’s stay and a tired morning. With centres in seven divisional cities, a student in Sylhet or Chattogram can sit in their own city. Check whether the circular lets you pick a centre at application, and visit your chosen venue the day before the test.

Where RU sits in a crowded January

• 8 January: RU’s B unit and KUET fall on the same day — but for different streams, so most candidates face no clash.
• RU’s C unit on 9 January and RUET on 14 January — five days apart in the same city. A science candidate can stay in Rajshahi for both.
• RU’s A unit on 16 January, Jahangirnagar from 17 January — a humanities candidate may need to set out for Savar that same night.
• Jagannath University also tests between 1 and 23 January; match the unit days.
