CUET Admission 2026-27: Tentatively 23 January, Two Groups and 931 Seats

CUET’s admission test for 2026-27 is tentatively on 23 January 2027. Candidates split into two groups: Group A for the engineering departments and Urban and Regional Planning (URP), and Group B for those plus architecture — which adds a 200-mark drawing test. There are 931 seats in all.
The 19 September report puts the test at 500 marks, as in the earlier combined format. The date is still described as tentative, and the circular on applications, fee and eligibility has not appeared.

Group A or Group B
If architecture does not really draw you, there is no need to take on the drawing test by choosing Group B. If it does, start sketching several times a week from December — perspective, proportion, a timed scene — because 200 marks move the ranking a long way.

Five hundred marks, one day
The report describes CUET’s test as 500 marks, as in the earlier format; how those marks divide between subjects will only be confirmed in the circular — so do not build your plan on a split guessed from old question banks. Note that RUET is moving to a fully MCQ paper — the two tests may call for different styles of preparation.
What one trip to Chattogram can cover
CUET is on 23 January and Chittagong University’s first unit (C) on 29 January — with SUST’s test in Sylhet on 26–27 January in between. To sit all three, plan the Chattogram–Sylhet–Chattogram route in advance.
