DU's admission season closes with the Business Studies Unit — the old 'Ga unit', 'C unit' in English reporting — on 26 December 2026, 11 AM to 12:30 PM. What sets it apart is that the paper differs by stream: business students get accounting and management questions, while science and humanities students get ICT plus maths, statistics or economics.
In 2025-26, 34,062 applied for 1,050 seats — about 32 per seat, the lightest pressure among DU’s general units. But 930 of those seats belong to business students; science had 95 and humanities just 25.

Which subjects each stream answers
This list is the published 2024-25 rule; the 2026-27 structure (60 MCQ + 40 written) is unchanged, but check the subject split in this year’s circular.

Pass marks and how written scripts are marked
- At least 24 in the MCQ, including at least 5 in English.
- At least 11 in the written part and 40 out of 100 overall.
- Not every written script is read — only those of candidates within three times the seat count on the MCQ ranking. Fall behind on the MCQ and the written part cannot rescue you.
- Each wrong MCQ costs 0.25 marks.

English medium and subject allocation
The Business Studies Unit already sets English-medium candidates a separate paper — the Science Unit follows it this year. Departments in the Faculty of Business Studies — accounting and information systems, finance, marketing, management, banking and insurance, MIS, international business, tourism and hospitality and others — are allotted by merit rank.
