BUP FBS Admission 2026-27: BBA Tests on 1 and 9 January

BUP’s Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) spreads its 2026-27 test over two days — 1 and 9 January 2027. Which programme sits on which day is not yet public; last cycle the four specialised BBAs sat in the morning and BBA-General in the afternoon of the same day.
There are five programmes: BBA-General, Finance & Banking, Marketing, Accounting & Information Systems, and Management Studies. What sets FBS apart is that the paper depends on your background — business students answer subject questions, everyone else gets maths and analytical ability.

The 75-mark paper — who answers what
Under the 2025-26 circular the final 40 marks come in two versions. A science or humanities student applying to finance or marketing sits the maths section, so having no HSC accounting does not shut you out of FBS. Every wrong answer costs 0.50, and at least 40% in English is required.

Minimum GPA (2025-26)
Note that science students face a higher bar than business students. In 2024-25 science candidates needed 9.00 with 4.25 in each exam — the bar dropped in a year and could rise again. Both the HSC 2024 and 2025 batches were eligible last year.

How the result is calculated
The merit rank weighs the MCQ at 55%, HSC marks at 25% and SSC marks at 20%. Your score out of 75 is turned into a percentage, and for the board exams it is actual marks, not GPA, that count. FBS falls after IBA and DU’s business unit, so December preparation carries over — but no calculator is allowed; last year only FST, FOE and FMS permitted one.
