GST C Unit Admission 2026-27: The Commerce Test on 20 March

The GST commerce paper — the C unit — sits on 20 March 2027 from 11 AM to 12 PM, the day after humanities. Seventy of its 100 marks come from the two core HSC business subjects, accounting and business organisation and management.
C draws the fewest applicants of the three general units — 25,216 in 2025-26 — and posts the highest pass rate, 66%. A smaller field makes each mark weigh more: one slip in an accounting calculation can drop you behind hundreds of rivals.

Subject-wise marks in the C unit
This split is as widely reported by admission guides and Wikipedia; we could not match it to the circular. Notice that finance and banking or production and marketing have no section of their own in it, so keep accounting and management at the centre of your study.

Eligibility to apply
The verified 2024-25 condition: at least 3.00 in each of SSC and HSC and 6.50 combined — half a point above humanities. In 2025-26 the SSC 2021–23 and HSC 2024–25 batches applied, second attempts were allowed, the pass mark was 30 and each wrong answer cost 0.25.
Where the C unit places students
The C merit list fills the business faculties of the member universities — accounting, management, finance and marketing style departments. Each university publishes its own department and seat list, and we hold no verified cluster-wide seat total.
Competition in 2025-26
The result figures come from Desh Rupantor. That same report dates the test 30 March 2026, while the schedule Prothom Alo published said 27 March — the date may have been moved later. This year too, confirm the final date on your admit card.

A preparation plan for commerce students
- Accounting: journals, ledgers, trial balance, financial statements and depreciation, practised quickly without a calculator.
- Business organisation and management: definitions, principles and the theorists’ names, which recur in MCQs year after year.
- Bangla and English at 15 each: fewer marks does not mean less weight — half an hour of grammar three days a week.
- C falls the day after humanities, so keep the night before for a last look at accounting formats and nothing else.
