BUP Admission 2026-27: Test Dates by Faculty, Eligibility and Application Fee

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) spreads its 2026-27 undergraduate tests over four days: Business Studies on 1 and 9 January 2027, Arts & Social Science on 2 January, and on 8 January the Science & Technology, Engineering & Technology, Medical Studies and Security & Strategy faculties. Application dates have not been published.

BUP has faculties for students from every stream, and last year repeat candidates could apply as well. The eligibility and fee below are from the 2025-26 cycle.

Eligibility (2025-26)

Last year HSC 2024 and 2025 candidates were eligible. The rule looks at the sum of both exams — a science student with 4.50 at SSC and 3.50 at HSC reaches 8.0, unless the circular also sets a floor for each exam. Individual faculties may add subject-level conditions, so read the relevant faculty’s section of the circular.

Which faculty sits when — planning around the dates

Business Studies runs over two days (1 and 9 January); the circular will say which programme or group sits on which day. Arts and Social Science have a single day, 2 January.

Science, Engineering and Medical Studies sit on 8 January, eight days before BUET on the 16th, and MIST comes earlier still on 18–19 December. Anyone targeting all three should keep momentum with a weekly mock test from mid-December onward.

The fee, and what from last year is not printed

In 2025-26 the application fee was Tk 1,100, applications ran from 10 to 30 November and the eligible list followed on 7 December.

Two conflicting versions of last cycle’s test schedule were published in the press, so neither appears here. This year’s dates come from the announcement of 2 September 2026; no reliable seat figure was found either, so take that from the circular.
