IBA-JU Admission 2026-27: Fifty BBA Seats

Jahangirnagar's Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU) admits to its BBA through a separate test, and has only 50 places. The 2026-27 test is expected in January 2027 on the Savar campus; the exact day is not announced.
In 2025-26, 5,411 applied, about 108 per seat. Bangla carries just 5 marks, while English and maths-with-IQ carry 30 each — as at DU's IBA, English and reasoning are what separate candidates.

How the IBA-JU paper is weighted
The frame matches JU's other units: 80 MCQ marks, 55 minutes, −0.20 per wrong answer, 36 to pass. Unlike DU's IBA there is no written part here, so speed and accuracy are everything — each guessed bubble can push you further from a list of fifty.

GPA: a higher per-exam bar for science
In 2025-26 science students needed a combined 8.00 but at least 3.75 in each exam; humanities and business students needed 7.50 with 3.50 in each. Oddly, the science total here is lower than the 8.50 JU asked in units A, B or E.
Newspapers disagree on the fee: Prothom Alo says BDT 600, Ittefaq 700. We follow Prothom Alo, plus the 1.2% service charge.

Sixty marks in English and maths-IQ — a plan
- English: sentence completion, analogies and reading — one timed set every day.
- Maths & IQ: number series, data interpretation and mental arithmetic, no calculator.
- Current affairs: especially economic and business news — the budget, exports, banking.
- DU IBA and the JU E unit can be prepared alongside — English serves all three.
