BMU FSA Unit Admission 2026-27: BBA in Port Management and Logistics

The Faculty of Shipping Administration (FSA) is Bangladesh Maritime University’s business unit — one programme, the BBA in Port Management and Logistics, 40 seats in 2025-26. There was no 2026-27 circular as of 26 September 2026; the previous test ran on 30 January 2026, 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Students from any stream with GPA 3.50 in SSC and in HSC were eligible.

English is the key: 40 of the 100 marks, the largest share any single subject takes in any BMU test. Maths carries 25 but is drawn from the SSC syllabus, so humanities students are not at a structural disadvantage.

FSA marks, subject by subject

Set beside the FMGP test held that same morning, the design is plain: FSA drops ICT in favour of maths and lifts English from 35 to 40. If you sit both, English preparation serves the two tests at once, but FSA asks for maths on top.

Eligibility conditions (2025-26)

It is the natural destination for business-stream students, yet the paper holds no accounting or management — so preparation is the same whichever stream you came from.

• Any stream; SSC 2022/2023 and HSC 2024/2025.
• GPA 3.50 in SSC and HSC separately.
• At least a "B" in every subject.
• O-level candidates must have maths among their subjects.

Programme, seats and fees (2025-26)

At 129 credits it has the lightest course load of the four faculties and the lowest eight-semester total. Compared with a general BBA, the weight falls on running ports, supply chains and shipping trade — the skills the country’s port and logistics sector hires for.

How many were called last cycle

In 2025-26 ranks 1 to 240 were called to pre-register for the 40 seats. The merit list and first waiting list came on 9 February 2026, followed by further rounds from March to June. Missing the first list is therefore not the end — keep watching until the final call on 30 June.

Across the university about 18,000 applied for 200 seats in 2024-25; BMU did not publish a figure per faculty.

A six-week plan for FSA

1. Weeks 1–2: English grammar foundations — tenses, voice, narration, prepositions — plus thirty words a day.
2. Week 3: the arithmetic of SSC maths — percentages, profit and loss, ratio, interest — then algebra and geometry formulae.
3. Week 4: analytical ability — data interpretation, series and reasoning items, against the clock.
4. Week 5: general knowledge — ports, waterways, international trade and current affairs.
5. Week 6: a ninety-minute mock every day with the 0.25 penalty applied, watching whether reading passages are swallowing your time.
