CU C Unit Admission 2026-27: Business on 29 January

CU's admission season opens with the C unit: the Faculty of Business Administration tests on 29 January 2027, in Chattogram, Dhaka and Rajshahi. Applications run from 15 November to 10 December 2026.

In 2025-26, 16,925 candidates applied for 510 places, around 33 per seat — far less pressure than units A or B. Being first also means the shortest run-up, though; without mocks started in December, late January arrives too soon.

Rows marked "last cycle" are 2025-26 figures and may change in this year's circular. Last verified: 26 September 2026.

Mark split (unconfirmed)

We found this split only in a search summary and could not match it to the circular or a reliable report, hence "unconfirmed". If it holds, the C unit rewards English and reasoning more than accounting or management textbook knowledge — which also opens it to science and humanities students.

The GPA condition is ambiguous

In 2025-26 CU lowered the minimum GPA in almost every unit. The C unit had required 7.5; the new condition was reported as "7.0–7.5", which may mean different floors by stream but is not spelled out. If your GPA sits between 7.0 and 7.5, read the table in the circular yourself before paying the fee.

SSC 2022/2023 and HSC 2024/2025 passers were eligible. The 20 GPA marks are another point where two outlets differ: one says they are added, the other that they were not in 2025-26.

Seats and competition in unit C

The 510 places are spread over the Business Administration faculty's departments; we have not found a verified per-department split.

A fast run-up for the first test

1. Centre on English’s 40 marks: thirty grammar items and one passage a day.
2. For analytical and problem-solving, twenty daily questions on percentages, ratios, profit and loss, and series.
3. Work old business-unit papers from DU or JU — different frames, useful practice.
4. Unit A follows on 30 January; a science student sitting both should plan two consecutive days in Chattogram.
